Self-driving delivery robots are being tested on sidewalks around the world, but very prominently in cities like San Francisco. However, according to a report in The Guardian one lawmaker wants those robots off the sidewalks. San Francisco supervisor Norman Yee joins a swath of people who object to the streamlining and automation of basic tasks under the guise of "robots are taking our jobs". He's supported by San Francisco police commander Robert O'Sullivan adding that robots could hurt kids, eldery and the disabled and might even pose a risk to traffic. While San Francisco ponders killing the champagne delivery robots, the rest of the nation and especially Silicon Valley will eventually come to embrace robots on the sidewalk as a way of life.
