Property values slightly higher in second quarterBy The Manila Timeshome/Business/Top Business/Property values slightly higher in second quarterResidential property values grew marginally in the second quarter of the year amid higher prices of duplex, townhouse and condominium units, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) reported. Prices of duplex, townhouse, and condominium units grew by 12.5 percent, 4.3 percent and 9.6 percent, respectively. In Metro Manila, the higher growth in prices of duplexes and condominium units offset the decline in prices of single detached houses and townhouses. By type, about 45.8 percent of residential property loans were for condominium units, followed by single detached/attached houses (43 percent) and townhouses (10.5 percent). The RREPI measures the average change in prices of different types of housing units over a period of time across the country.
