Later, led by Divisional Commissioner KM Tariqul Islam, Divisional Office of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) brought out the rally on the city streets with participation of officials and employees, students, youths and civil society members. With Divisional Joint Director of BBS Amjad Hossain in the chair, the Divisional Commissioner addressed the rally as the chief guest. Deputy Commissioner Enamul Habib, District Coordinators of the Agriculture Census-2019 of BBS Shafikul Islam and Mehnaz Tabassum and its Sadar Upazila Census Coordinator Swattik Al Maruf also spoke. Amjad Hossain said BBS enumerators will collect data on food grains, fisheries, livestock, agriculture households, land use, cultivated land, cattle, poultry, agricultural machineries, food security, fisheries and forests across the country during the census. Later, the BBS enumerators formally launched the Agriculture Census-2019 in the district by collecting data from Deputy Commissioner Enamul Habib at his official residence.
