Fans of most Toronto sports franchises will soon need to prove they are vaccinated or do not have COVID-19 to attend games. Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. (MLSE) announced Tuesday that all their sports venues will require proof of vaccination or a negative test from fans before entrance, seeking to ensure a virus-free experience for sporting events that are slated to begin in the fall. The company has not said how many doses will be required of attendants, or how it will ask fans to prove they were vaccinated. For now, however, live-audience sporting events are still a go. The Winnipeg franchises said they polled customers, and that 70 per cent of them said they wanted proof of vaccination and mask requirements.
