Promising signs for Central women in opening-round lossWarwick Smith Northern's Claudia Bunge, left, slides in to tackle Central's Mackenzie Barry in the opening game of the women's national league at Memorial Park on Sunday. The early signs are looking good for the Central women's national league team, despite losing their opening game of the season 3-0 to Northern at Memorial Park on Sunday. Central have lost 11 players from last season, but coach Matt Kilsby wasn't too disappointed after losing their first game of the season against a strong Northern outfit. Northern scored mid way through the first spell through a free kick, but otherwise it was an even half. Central are away against Capital next weekend and will be confident after beating them twice in pre-season.
