The Member of Parliament for Tamale South, addressing the House on the deliberation of the 2020 budget on Tuesday, asked the New Patriotic Party (NPP) where the $1 million dollars per every constituency it promised in its manifesto is. He further questioned government’s decision to commit additional GH¢ 150 million of taxpayers' money to the 1D1F although it had already committed to the programme over GH¢526 million from the Ghana EXIM Bank. “Why are we taking GH¢150 million of taxpayers' money in the name of 1D1F when you have already committed over GH¢526 million from Ghana EXIM? How much have they added to the employment figures of the country to do this?” he quizzed.
