The community with a population of four hundred inhabitants have been saved from the headache of relying on an old borehole with a new solar-powered drinking water by Project Maji. Speaking at a short ceremony to commission the project, Ebenezer Charway, the Deputy Director at the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources expressed appreciation to Project Maji for the gesture which he believes will solve the water problems in the village. The Paramount Chief of Tefle Traditional Area, Togbe Nakakpo Dugbaza VIII indicated his excitement with the project and thanked Project Maji for coming to the aid of the town. Project Maji was established in 2015 with an objective of providing providing portable water to more than one million people in rural Africa by 2025.
