File photo of Prof Imran Rahman, the new vice-chancellor of ULAB Dhaka TribuneHe had served another term from 2012 till 2016President Md Abdul Hamid, who is also the Chancellor of Universities in the country, has appointed Prof Imran Rahman as the fifth vice-chancellor (VC) of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). Prof Rahman, who joined ULAB in 2006 as the Dean of Business, will be serving a four-year term with effect from November 2, 2021, according to a press release. Prof Rahman later served in ULAB as a pro-VC from 2009 to 2012 and as the VC from 2012 to 2016, said the release. Prof Rahman had also co-founded and led a merchant bank in the 1990s for six years. He studied in Manchester Business School, Dhaka University, and the London School of Economics.
