Production at Libya's El Feel oilfield disrupted

The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) said Thursday that production at El Feel oil field has been interrupted as a result of an unlawful valve closure on the export pipeline from El Feel field to Mellitah. The Chairman of the NOC, Mustafa Sanallah said this incident is another criminal attempt to disturb the work of NOC, adding that such acts harm the Libyan economy. On November 27, production at El Feel oilfield was suspended as Khalifa Haftar's warplanes struck the vicinity of the field after Sabha military zone forces controlled the oilfield, and then it withdrew in the wake of Haftar's airstrikes. Sanallah said at the time: "I remind all parties that Libya’s oil and gas fields are vital sources of revenues for the benefit of all Libyans. He added that any fighting in the vicinity of any of oil facilities forces staffers to cease production in order to ensure the safety of employees, saying when production ceases, all Libyans lose out.
