The committee was formed soon after the fire broke out in a store room on the first floor, of a new building at the hospital, around 6pm on Thursday. The probe committee will submit its report within the next three working days, Fire Service’s Central Control Room Duty Officer Md Russell Shikdar said on Friday. As the firefighters brought the fire under control, no one—patients, doctors, employees, or attendants—was hurt in the incident, director of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital Prof Uttam Kumar Barua told reporters at the hospital, yesterday. Earlier, Health Minister Zahid Maleque and State Minister for Health Murad Hasan rushed to the hospital to oversee the overall situation.
