Detectives are investigating an incident where a police officer attached to a team that guards the President’s residence collapsed and died at the Mombasa State House. His family was informed of the tragic incident and was expected to be in Mombasa on Thursday for the planned postmortem. Senior officials from Mombasa visited the scene as part of the probe into the death. The team also guards the President and his deputy’s private residences and premises. Other than police officers, officials from the National Intelligence Service also provide crucial services to the President.
