The groups are Kenya National Commission of Human Rights, Amnesty International, International Center for Transitional Justice, the Independent Medico-Legal Unit, and the Kenya Human Rights Commission. The state has been put to task over the suspected enforced disappearance of a human rights lawyer and two of his clients. "As the human rights community, we strongly condemn this enforced disappearance," Kiama said. Ten human rights organisations on Wednesday called for immediate investigation of officers involved in the disappearance and subsequent "cover up" of the "heinous act". Others are Freedom House; Rights Protection and Promotion Center, the International Commission of Jurists - Kenya; Kenyans for Peace with Truth and Justice; and the National Coalition of Human Rights Defenders.
