National champions Kenya Prisons’ women’s volleyball team are likely to be locked out of the African Club Championship starting tomorrow in Cairo, Egypt. This is after the team failed to get travel clearance from the Ministry of Internal Security. Prisons’ had secured visas and reserved air ticket well in time for the tour but failed to get the necessary facilitation and clearance from the Ministry of Internal security. Team manager David Kilundo was at pains to explain the new development, saying if all factors remain constant, they will be locked out of the event and risk a fine. He was, however, shocked that they were unable to get clearance hence denying the players a chance to participate in the African bonanza.
