Uditha Punchihewa has been arrested after being on the run for 11 weeks. A man who allegedly escaped custody 11 weeks ago has been caught. The man was arrested on Saturday afternoon and charged with escaping custody while he was in hospital, and is expected to appear in Wellington District Court on Monday. The arrested man is understood to be Uditha​ Punchihewa​, who allegedly escaped his guards at Hutt Hospital on October 12.
