On Friday, the jail authorities suspended six jail guards including the head jail guards in this connection. Abu Bakar Siddique, who was sentenced to life term imprisonment, escaped from Kashimpur Central Jail 2 on Thursday. Siddique, hailing from Abad Chandipur in Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira, was shifted to the Kashimpur Central Jail from Rajshahi as a death-row convict in 2011. Later, the jail authorities found him inside a septic tank the following day.
