Keshava Cavenagh (22) was behind bars at the Otago Corrections Facility awaiting sentencing on April 27 when the bizarre incident took place. Mattresses were placed as a makeshift landing pad in case the prisoner took a tumble. He will be sentenced on both matters in the Christchurch District Court in September.
