Prince of Wales visits homelessness project during Northern Ireland trip

William’s first visit was to a project in Belfast aimed at helping to prevent homelessness for young people leaving care. The Simon Community is a member of the Northern Ireland element of the prince’s initiative to tackle homelessness. The Homewards Northern Ireland Coalition has identified the prevention of homelessness for young people leaving care as one of its initial priorities. William also met leading practitioners in the sector to discuss some of the work being delivered in Northern Ireland to support young people leaving care. With support from The Royal Foundation, Homewards will also deliver a housing project focused on supporting young people leaving the care system in Northern Ireland.
