The Queen still intends to use the palace for audiences and engagements, the palace said at the time. In more recent months, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, William, Kate and other royals have carried out socially distanced engagements, including Kate travelling to Derby to meet university students on Tuesday. The monarch left Buckingham Palace on March 19 and retreated to Windsor ahead of the lockdown.
