The Duke and Duchess attended Beating Retreat by The Massed Pipes and Drums of the Combined Cadet Force in Scotland at the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Children from two primary schools which work with Place2Be, of which Kate is patron, also got front row seats. Kate and William smiled and nodded after the Highland dancers from George Heriot’s school, Loretto School and St George’s School for Girls performed their traditional jig.
