Primary school teacher swept away by flood waters in Sarawak - Nation


MIRI: A woman was killed when the car she was travelling in with her husband was swept away by flood waters in Limbang. The couple's vehicle was swept away by the swift current as they were attempting to drive across a bridge at about 3.30am on Wednesday. The wife, a primary school teacher, was killed in the incident but her husband, a Bruneian, managed to escape. The deceased has been identified as Norsiah Yusok, 52, a Malaysian who taught at SK Tedungan located in Brunei. The state Fire and Rescue Department said in a statement that the couple's vehicle was found at about 5am, in a jungle approximately 1km away.
