Prigozhin Aborts His Russian Coup 125 Miles Short of Moscow

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko brokered a deal between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Wagner Group rebels led by Yevgeny Prigozhin. Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin leaving the headquarters of the Southern Military District as the paramilitary group withdrew from Rostov, Russia. Criminal charges against Wagner’s owner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, will be dropped and he will relocate to Belarus, Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. It would not surprise me one bit if Lukashenko hands Prigozhin over to Putin or if Prigozhin mysteriously commits “suicide”. This is a huge morale-breaking event for the Russian military and Putin no matter what happens to Prigozhin.
