House prices are on the up in Nelson, with a median price in 2019 of $565,000. Nelson house prices have gone up again, with the median price last year reaching $565,000. Though house prices are steadily climbing in Nelson, they still fall short of the national median including Auckland, a record-setting $590,000. It was more expensive to buy in Nelson than most places, however, as excluding Auckland the also record-breaking national median was $500,000.
