Johor Domestic Trade, Coopera­tives and Consumerism Ministry chief enforcement officer Aris Mamat said they had tracked price increases of between 4% and 50% for the 28 items, which were part of 71 items under the Price Watch category. State enforcement chief Zubir Hamsa said it was now RM8.30 per kg, in comparison with RM7.20 two weeks ago. Chin said there would be enough supply of main food items such as eggs, chicken, meat and vegetables ahead of the festive season. In Ipoh, Perak KPDNKK would be checking on prices and services at retail outlets statewide. Its chief enforcement officer Shamsul Nizam Khalil said so far, their enforcement officers have visited over 170 retail outlets.
