KUALA LUMPUR: “It’s easy, time-saving and helps consumers to be thrifty.”These were some of the comments by consumers regarding the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry’s initiative to develop the Price Catcher app. The app, which can be downloaded for free through the App Store for iOS users and Play Store for Android, helps consumers find the cheapest prices for daily necessities by comparing prices at business premises near their residence. “For parents with small children like me, the app helps us find baby items at cheaper prices. Food stall operator Ahmad Alfian, 33, said the app helped him reduce expenditure when buying daily items for his food business. “With this app, we save time as we do not have to physically go to different shops to compare prices,” he said.
