Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna MP Sagara Kariyawasam today (05) stated that the Opposition has no right to blame the current government as it was the previous government which changed the laws to allow coconut oil to be mixed by smugglers. “As the Sinhala New Year approaches, there is a lot of talk about coconut oil in this country. It was the previous government that changed the laws of this country. Our government was the first to inform the people that there was a problem with coconut oil. “What we are experiencing today is the result of the devastation wrought by the government in which he was a cabinet minister,” Kariyawasam said.
