Prestigious international award goes to a determined Marlborough grapegrower


A Marlburian who won a prestigious agricultural scholarship plans to study how to help agriculture reduce its use of fossil fuels. Rapaura grapegrower Ben McLauchlan was awarded one of five Nuffield New Zealand scholarships for his work in viticulture. The Nuffield Scholarship is a rural leadership programme, with a global focus, that is designed to fast-track the development of emerging leaders in the agri-food sector. McLaughlan plans to study how to make agriculture more efficient after he was awarded a Nuffield Scholarship.
