Dr Otoo Acheampong, the hospital’s caretaker, described the incident as part of a recurring pattern of theft at the facility. Michael Koomson, a hospital technician who responded to the incident, said he received a distress call around 1 a.m. reporting a power outage at the mortuary. “When I arrived, the main hospital had power, but the mortuary building was completely dark,” he explained. Upon inspection at daybreak, Koomson traced the fault to vandalised cables hidden in a nearby bush.
