Independent presidential aspirant Solomon Gichira has been charged with attempting to kill himself, creating disturbance and destroying IEBC property. Gichiria was apprehended for attempting suicide at IEBC offices in Nairobi on Saturday. The aspirant denied the charges at a Nairobi court on Monday and was released on Sh200,000 cash bail.
