NewsPresident Maithripala Sirsena has declared May 7 as a Government holiday as "May Day" will be celebrated on May 7 in Sri Lanka. The Government announced earlier that May Day in the country will be celebrated in Sri Lanka on May 7 instead of May 1 as the Vesak Poya Week falls during that week.
