President Higgins added that given the "catastrophic dimension" of Ireland's history, "we must deliver not only charity but justice". Meanwhile, UCC is launching a Famine Online Project which was born out of the Atlas of the Great Irish Famine which was published in 2012. The choir included representatives of Cork Penny Dinners, the High Hopes Choir, Crosshaven Community Choir and UCC Choral Society.
