President attends Modi’s swearing-in ceremonyNewsPresident Ranil Wickremesinghe joined the swearing-in ceremony of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held last evening (09) at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. The swearing-in ceremony, presided over by the President of India Draupadi Murmu, took place at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. Aside from President Wickremesinghe, others in the Sri Lankan delegation are Presidential Secretary Saman Ekanayake and Foreign Secretary Aruni Wijewardene. The Sri Lankan delegation left for India yesterday on an Air India flight to attend the ceremony early in the evening. Following the ceremony, the leaders, including Mr. Wickremesinghe, attended a banquet hosted by Indian President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
