Promises More SupportPresident George Manneh Weah, on Monday, February 5, 2018 met with a delegation of the Liberia Business Association (LIBA) in the C. Cecil Dennis Auditorium at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Monrovia. According to an Executive Mansion release, the LIBA delegation congratulated President Weah on his inauguration as Liberia’s 24th President and expressed their commitment to working with his administration. The meeting was attended by several representatives from various sectors of Liberian business community including the Tailor’s Union; the Patriotic Entrepreneurs of Liberia (PATEL); the Paynesville Business Association and Petty Traders. They however expressed the need to empower them to ease the current stress Liberian-owned businesses are faced with. Responding, President Weah thanked the Association for accepting his call and reassured them of his government’s continued support and commitment in making sure they succeed.
