President Weah Craves For‘Win-win’ Partnership between Mercy Ships and Liberia

Monrovia – President George Manneh Weah has lauded one of the world’s largest nongovernmental hospital ships for its humanitarian outreach to Liberia and called for a ‘win-win’ partnership between Liberia and the medical entity. The President informed the visiting medical team of Mercy Ships that he was glad about their presence in the country to conduct medical operations. President Weah said it would be good for the government of Liberia through the Ministry of Health to work towards a “win-win” partnership that benefits all. Also, Liberia’s Health Minster Dr. Whelimina Jallah, who accompanied the Mercy Ships crew, thanked President Weah for the opportunity, and stressed that the arrival of Mercy Ships to Liberia was important to the nation’s health sector, especially when the details of the partnership are fully worked out and concluded. Mercy Ships, a global charity, has operated a fleet of hospital ships in developing nations since 1978, bringing hope and healing to the poor.
