President Uhuru Kenyatta said that there is one big mistake politician do by forgetting the old people who have made tremendous contributions in the growth of Kenya’s economy. “We only remember politician, forgetting those who wake up very early every day and work hard in ensuring that fellow Kenyans are employed, help in the growth of Kenya’s economy and who help us end poverty,” said Uhuru. President Uhuru eulogised the late Murathe as a hardworking man who played a leading role in community development even though he was not a politician. “Murathe is an excellent example of how to give back to society because he devoted his time and resources to improve the community.He was a pioneer businessman and succeeded through hard work,” President Uhuru said. The late Murathe was the father of Jubilee Party Vice-Chairman David Wakairu Murathe, a former Gatanga MP.
