Most presidents announce a slew of initiatives in a State of the Union address, but President Trump spent much of his 2018 address bragging about what he considered his accomplishments. Given Republican control of the White House, Senate and House, one might expect Trump to have a good track record on legislation. Now that Democrats have taken control of the House of Representatives, Trump may find it harder to succeed. The Trump administration has made it less costly for companies to apply for generic approvals. Trump is expected to announce a second summit in his State of the Union address.
