Press PhotoCAIRO – 22 July 2021: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi received Thursday in Egypt a delegation from Lurssen Defense to examine ways of developing the Egyptian naval industries system and plans of technological upgrade in the sector. The meeting was attended by Commander of the Egyptian Naval Force Ahmed Khaled and CEO of the German shipyard Peter Lurssen among others. Earlier this month, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated Egypt’s latest naval base, the 3 July Base, in Gargoub on the northwestern coast near Libya. The president arrived to inaugurate the military base, where he inspected the new naval vessels at the base.
