CAIRO- 4 November 2024: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, on the sidelines of the 12th edition of the World Urban Forum, held in Cairo. The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Ahmed Fahmy, said the two presidents affirmed the deep and strong historical relations between Egypt and Yemen. The two presidents discussed developments in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea and the ongoing efforts to restore stability in the region. President El-Sisi affirmed Egypt's vision in this regard and presented its efforts aimed at reaching a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon and reducing tension. The Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council expressed his deep appreciation for Egypt's sincere and continuous support for Yemen, stressing the depth of the fraternal relations between the two countries, and affirming his aspiration to continue consultation and coordination with the President.
