According to the government news portal the President visited the family in respons to a request made by Vidya’s mother at the concluding ceremony of the Nila Mehewara – President’s People Service National Program, held at Saivapragasa Ladies' College in Vavuniya yesterday (21st Oct.). The President assured every support for the family, including the assistance for the education of the elder sister of Vidya.
