Mama Mukami KimathiPresident William Ruto has sent a message of condolence following the passing of Mukami Kimathi, the widow of revolutionary freedom fighter Dedan Kimathi. Mama Mukami died while receiving treatment at Nairobi hospital where she was rushed Thursday night with difficulties in breathing. Ruto eulogised Mama Mukami Kimathi as steadfast patriot and well-known champion for national unity who inspired many Kenyans of all ages to cherish the Kenya and stand ready to defend the values of the nation. "We have received the saddening news of the death of Mukami Kimathi, a celebrated heroine of our nation's struggle for independence." Said President Ruto.
