Monrovia - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on Monday, August 21, 2017 - in keeping with tradition, officially commissioned three senior government officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the National Elections Commission (NEC). She urged them to promote good relationship and development and reminded them to do the right thing for the country. President Sirleaf challenged the newly commissioned officials to promote good relationship and development and continue with the same level of energy, enthusiasm and efficiency exhibited in previous roles. In separate remarks, Commissioner Davidson and Ambassador Ballout thanked President Sirleaf for their preferment and promised to demonstrate examples worthy of their offices and make Liberia proud. The ceremony was attended by senior government officials including Foreign Minister, Marjon Kamara, Dr. Augustine Konneh of the Foreign Service Institute, family members among others.
