President Akufo-Addo congratulated the national squads of Ghana Rugby for their achievements and urged them to continue performing exceptionally. The Ghana President also acknowledged the huge investments made by the GRFU President and his administration towards the development of rugby as a sport in Ghana. Mr Mensah later presented the four continental trophies that the GRFU has won since 2017 to President Akufo-Addo. The trophies included the 2017 Rugby Africa West Africa Regional Challenge in Ghana in (men’s fifteens), the 2018 Rugby Africa Bronze Cup (men’s fifteens), the 2019 Rugby Africa Women’s Sevens Challenge Trophy in Tunisia and the 2019 Rugby Africa Men’s Sevens Challenge Trophy in South Africa.
