more-inMADURAIThe Madras High Court Bench here on Wednesday ordered to preserve the body of a prisoner who had reportedly died under suspicious circumstances at Madurai Central Prison on Sunday. It also directed Karimedu police here to submit the post-mortem report as well as the video recording of the autopsy before the court on Monday. She had sought a direction to conduct post-mortem once again by two forensic science experts in the presence of an independent expert from the petitioner’s side. She claimed that he was hale and hearty at the time of being imprisoned. However, on Sunday, a few policemen informed her family of his sudden death and she suspected that he might have been beaten to death in the prison, the counsel contended.
