The drill was held in front of the official residence of the mentri besar on a stretcg of road along Jalan Raja Di-Hilir to Istana Kinta on Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah last Sunday. The exercise simulated a rowdy crowd breaking through police barriers in an attempt to reach Istana Kinta on Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah. Comm Hasnan said, the moment the police received information about the gathering the traffic unit was deployed to the area to manage the traffic situation. “The crowd then began marching towards Istana Kinta to seek an audience with the Sultan. “We also invited personnel from the army as observers and to give their input to improve the drill,” said Comm Hasnan.
