Premsak files complaint against reporters


The move followed the Tuesday incident in which Premsak allegedly had his subordinates pull down the pants of a reporter in front of four other journalists at a meeting room in alleged revenge for reports on personal matter. He accused that the reporters’ behaviors violated his personal rights and liberty and kept him occupied in stead of working for the people who sought public services.Premsak later Wednesday morning met with Ban Phai police superintendent Pol Colonel Jamras Jandaeng to file the complaint.In a mean time, the five reporters at 9am went to meet with Khon Kaen police chief Pol Maj General Jitjaroon Sriwanich to discuss what happened and they was slated to later discuss with Khon Kaen provincial governor Khamthon Thawornsathit before deciding whether to file a counter complaint with police. The five reporters, who were also made to hand over their cameras and cell phones to officials before attending the meeting, were seeking Premsak’s comment about a photograph of him sitting next to a Mathayom 5 schoolgirl in what appeared to be an engagement or wedding ceremony.According to Premsak’s Facebook post at 8.30am Wednesday, he accused the reporters for intrusion to his mayor office and detaining and pressuring him to provide information that wouldn’t be of any use for the public benefits.
