Reports surfaced last week that Newcastle had held internal discussions over a winter move for Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans, who has been linked in the past. Tielemans is entering the final six months of his contract after two years of extension talks. The Belgian joined from Monaco in 2019 and has been an integral force for the Foxes making 178 appearances for the club. As with James Maddison, Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is ruling out a winter move for his star midfielder. He’s in a really good place, though obviously it was disappointing at the World Cup for him and his country.
