Center for Health Protection has reported 15 new cases of Covid-19 today alongside a dozen more who were tested preliminary positive, including a pregnant woman who had been admitted to internal medicine ward of Tuen Mun Hospital. The woman, who was 39 weeks pregnant, told staff at accident and emergency department on Saturday morning she had an on-and-off fever over the past days but triage nurse found her temperature normal. Then she was admitted to an internal medicine ward. Hospital Authority's chief manager for patient safety and risk management Sara Ho Yuen-ha said 10 patients sharing the same cubicle with the pregnant woman are listed as close contacts and will be quarantined for 14 days. She admitted the arrangement on the pregnant woman was not optimal as she should be admitted to a surveillance or isolation ward upon suspicion of symptoms.
