Pregnant woman punched, grabbed by neck, dragged along groundKAYCIE O'CONNOR/STUFF Joseph Matarere Tipene, 29, was sentenced in the Hamilton District Court on Tuesday. The punched man left the house and Tipene attempted to get the woman to walk with him to central Hamilton. Holding her by her neck he punched her in the head, and began to drag her by her hand along the ground. However, that was just a part of Tipene's history that Judge Spear had to consider. Judge Spear left Tipene in no doubt that any repetition of his behaviour would result in a similar sentence.
