A house and car were damaged and a man was injured in a crash in Warrington yesterday. A Warrington man is praising his neighbour’s quick thinking behind the wheel of an out-of-control car, which limited the damage to his home. A police spokeswoman said a car travelled through a fence and hit the veranda of a house in View St about 7.20am. A Fire Service spokesman said crews from Waitati and Warrington attended and on arrival found a man trapped in the car. The house owner, Pablo Dennison, said he was woken when the car hit his veranda.
