THIS week’s drive, a Suzuki S-Cross 1.4 Hybrid Ultra Allgrip, was the kind of car that comes with a clear message. This was the grade of car that I have been driving and I would recommend it because it completes the satisfaction element while driving a Suzuki S-Cross. The 48V Suzuki system consists of a lithium-ion battery, Integrated Starter Generator (known as ISG) and 48V-12V (DC/DC) converter to power components requiring lower voltage including lights, audio and air conditioning. A further benefit of the 48V Hybrid system is the introduction of electric motor idling when the clutch is disengaged and engine speed is approximately 1,000rpm.
