INDONESIA'S Prabowo Subianto recently turned the tables on his own party aides over issues surrounding his salary and official car. According to the Jakarta Post, aides to the Defence Minister and Gerindra Party chairman had earlier said Prabowo would not take his salary nor use the official car he is entitled to as a minister. "I will also use the official car. Gerindra deputy secretary Andre Rosiade had echoed Dahnil’s statement, saying that Prabowo would not take the salary and would not use the official car. Gerindra Party executive Desmond J. Mahesa said Prabowo might feel he had received enough with his earnings as a businessman.
